About me

I am English, born in London, and have been teaching now for over 25 years. I am a former Associate Lecturer at Plymouth University in England as well as English Foreign Language Teacher at Warsaw University in Poland. As well as universities, my experience includes private language schools, UK secondary and primary schools and even an oil company in the Libyan desert!

My professional qualifications include an RSA/UCLES Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (CTEFLA), a BA (Hons) in Humanities (majoring in English Literature), a Secondary Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in English and an MA in Professional Writing, all gained in the UK. I am also a qualified senior reporter and have worked for British newspapers.

I currently teach one-to-one lessons with adults who have at least Intermediate level English, though in the past I have taught students at all levels (from Beginner to Advanced), and both monolingual and multilingual groups of children, teenagers and adults in the UK, Italy, Poland and Libya.

My interests are very wide-ranging and include films, reading, swimming, running, hiking, travelling and spending time with friends.
